The pass of the Gypsy camp in Ripollet (Catalonia. 2008. 4')
20 years ago, Ripollet, a small town located next to Barcelona, was a good ground for a few Portuguese gypsy families who decided to site their camp. The fear of the population to live together with people with a different culture and, therefore, another way of living and understanding the society, led to a situation in which they expressed racist attitudes. The city council denied any action that could mean the legal recognition of the camp. Finally, with the arrival of the 1992 Olympic Games, the camp, with a thousand people installed, was vacated and demolished.
